I am now looking at the parents of my relative William Hector Smith and his mother Rebecca. Can anyone find me information prior to 1891 where I have a William Smith and his wife Rebecca and their children John aged 8 (later called William? age is right!) and Ellen aged 6. |

William Hector (1883-1970?) was born and lived in Wimbledon, but I think both his parents William (1858-1900ish?) and Rebecca (1857-??) were born in Northamptonshire. The town of Easton seems to come up for Rebecca. |

And yet..........1901 makes it seem possible (perhaps the 1891 enumerator had been on the bottle!) |

So if William is not John in 1891, but all the other information is correct, and I cannot find another example of a William and Rebecca having children, where else can I look to find him? |
