I am seeking the whereabouts of Joseph Verity Wood born 1902 Barnsley, Yorkshire.
and his mother Sarah Wood born 1876, Nether Hoyland, Yorkshire, I am of the idea they may have been living in or around Cudworth, Yorkshire at this time, possibly with his grandfather (Charles) William Wood born 1843 Pudsey, Yorkshire died 1914 Barnsley.

The reason I seek him is because Sarah was unmarried when she gave birth to Joseph, but later went on to marry another man and had children with him. So far I have drawn a blank for them in 1911. Any help appreciated. Thankyou

EDIT - this is the same family that a Sarah is with in 1901

Thats just it no- one knows whos she married, all the family remember of her is as a bed-ridden Gin-Sop.
Thats why I'm trying to find Joseph or Sarah in the 1911 census in the hope it might give me a clue. thanx.

I think the middle name came from his grandmother Mary Verity, in fact The Woods and Veritys have a linked history.

on the 1911 for James and Sarah Maw there's a bit more info, a bit mangled info at that

it says James married 12 years, 7 children born to marriage, 6 children still living, 1 had died (all of this is crossed out in red)

however for Sarah it says married 4 years, 3 children born to marriage, 1 child still living which was crossed out and 2 written, 0 crossed out and 1 added had died
