Do you know if any of them had middle names?
Miller is quite a common surname, unfortunately.
Which ones are definitely still alive in 1911?
Thanks

Dea i am so happy with all theinfo you have given. I am goin to see if i can find out about the poor houses. do you think i may get a record (copy) of some sort?
yes the ones you have given so far seem to match, as their Sister my granma Ellen also moved down to london with my mother when she was about 2 1925ish from scotland.. they seem to have all moved about the country alot. i guess their mother Mary (also ffrm russia/poland.)died either when she gave birth to nan or just after as she is not on the census for 1901 when the family were living in Wigan/ northampton. mmmm thanx again for your time and help
i didnt grow up with the family so all the info iget makes it all more real. cheers

hello everyone...brrr what a cold one brrr..

I am hoping to find someone who likes a challenge to see if we can find out anymore info on my gran and siblings.
is there a way that i can trace them, basically i would like to know where their father and mother were when they went into the poor houses/schools.

i have info on this thread that points to some of them and im nearly 100% sure that this is them , as later on my gran Ellen married a benjamin charles terrell from surrey.
sorry if im confusing, but thats just how im feeling.

i am emailing the appropriate people to see if i can get any info of their stays whilst in the institutions.

Thanking you in advance
jacki b ;-)

This is gthe 2nd time today im trying to add some info.
umm here at last with a new year and am hoping for someone who likes a challenge, to take on finding where was the above Father, when 3 of his children went into care of the poor houses?
where are the two eldest children ?
and when did they come to surrey from up in nothumberland (so says cens 1911.Mother Mary nt shown believe she died while or sometime after givng birth to Ellen our granma.

I am abt 100% sure that the info i have on this thread with regards to croyden area, is exactly where my Gran Ellen must have met our Granpa Benjamin charles Terrell surrey.. fits pretty well, also certs give this info.

i am in the process of emailing to see if there are any form of records that i maybe able to seee or obtain info.
so will get back to you folks when i have some .

thanking you if you have taken time to read this.
