Walton & Warton might well be mistranscriptions - think you need to see the original myself

I know that Johnathan Crawford was born in Lynn, Norfolk and had at least 7 children, all born in Orpington, Kent between 1860 and 1876. These were Alfred, Ann, Eliza, Emily, Eleanor, Rosetta and Johnathan. The latter is my Great Grandfather. I thought I had found his marriage certificate to a Mary Ann Warton but when I got the birth certificates for Jonathan 1876 and Alfred 1860 the mothers name is Mary Walton. I thought that with the illiteracy in those days it could be a genuine error as the names sound the same. The marriage certificate had Johns father as Robert Crawford who I could not trace at all so I then got hold of what I thought was John 1838's birth certificate but the fathers name is James Robinson Crawford.

There are at least 2 Crawford families from Norfolk at that time and I think I have 'crossed over' at this point.

I am stumped.

Any help would be appreciated.
