Hello Robert, although Ive been a member for some time I still haven't got the hang of this site. I only go on once or twice a week and it seems to change all the time. Ive only notice the addition to this thread but unfortunately your ancestors do not match mine. It is the Layfield connection I am interested in but Leah is not related to mine. One of my Layfields went to Canada and I thought Leah might have gone to the same place, but didnt. Good luck in your search. |

Hello Robert, it's over a year since the last entry on this thread so Marian may not be checking back. You could click on her name to send a message directly to her which she'll receive if she's kept her GR account up to date. |

am starting my own research and note you have unearthed information concerning my paternal grand parents socrates davis and 'jeannie' wharam. Although only tenderfooting my efforts family info does vary slightly to that posted above. If you are still researching not wish to tread on toes but would like to know of any connections you/us? |

A tree on Ancestry says that her parents were Robert Layfield and Tabitha Daniels so Uncle Dan Daniels makes sense. |

There is a Leah Layfield born 1884 sailing from Southampton going to New York in 1939. This is on FMP and the only info I have. Could someone check the details and also to see who she is travelling with etc. |
