Find Ancestors

I am trying to trace the parents and siblings of John Alexander. John died in 1802. He lived and died in Errol, Perthshire. He was a mason and lived there with his wife Elizabeth (Tait). and children Andrew b 1891, William b 1793, Helen b1795 and John b 1802. I have only recently unearthed John as I eventually discovered that formation that I assumed accurate was in fact incorrect. My family record shows his eldest son Andrew's birth date as 1795 however other records and tree's show that an Andrew Alexander of Errol, married to Christian Fyffe died 18/01/1859 was 4 years older than marked on his headstone.
