To be fair Reggie - SS thanked Jax and everyone else, many times over at the time for the info found.

There was an original thread which many of us worked on which got to about 6 pages long - it was lots of fun and VERY frustrating at the same time but I think, as a team, we actually worked a little miracle on there!

You might like to have a read of it - I have been re-reading it this morning as it has come back up the boards - you will find it on page 2 at the moment and it is a quite fascinating read !

I wont post a link as I think it will confuse - It doesn't seem to be directly related to SS's new query.

If I am right and it is not directly related, it might have been best to SS to put this as a new thread ?

This thread, at the time, was placed on 'History Board' just for reference for SS, bringing all the relevant findings together for info as the main thread had become very long and somewhat confusing. However, with the board changes, it has now ended up on here.

Did you ever thank jax for all the work put in on your behalf in 2011?

What names were given for his parents on the death certificate please?

Scottish certificates give the names of both parents including the mother's maiden surname - if the informant knew the details.

Hello

I am posting as this is a new query

Clarence Ezekiel Williams
Birth Date: 6 May 1916
Age: 25
Port of Departure: Durban, South Africa
Arrival Date: 12 Sep 1941
Port of Arrival: Liverpool, England
Ports of Voyage: Durban
[Halifax]
Ship Name: Orbita

when you look at the image the passengers are listed as

Nominal Roll of British Honduras Foresters

Clarence boarded the ship in Guatemala ( if I am reading it correctly )

google brings up

Rather bizarrely, 800 forestry workers were brought from tropical British Honduras to work in the freezing highlands of Scotland.

could there be a service record for him with info on ,e.g next of kin
