Hi. Please could anyone help me try to trace my father-in-laws family. I am trying to help him to find his 86year old roots. I am not doing very well..... I think his Grandfather was Joseph Round born around 1881 he married Lily Williams in Dudley in 1900. I believe he was a chainmaker. They had a son John William Round(1902). As far as i know they were from Cradley Heath in Dudley(then known as worc). I havent found out anymore about them and would love to pass on ANY info to him.
Any information would be really brilliant.

His Father was John William Round born 1902 and his mother was Sarah Minnie Bates (1904)?

Guessing this is the registration of his birth. A copy of the certificate will confirm his parents names:

There is no middle intial for Lily on the marriage entry.

Hi Alison, i think you will need to purchase Joseph and Lily's marriage certificate to confirm who his father was. The certificate will give you his fathers name (If known) and occupation.
