Does anyone have any ideas on how to find parents for Robert Usher
1851 Census for Bedford England states
Robert Usher 28 born Lincoln
Mary usher 23 born Kempston
Harry Usher 2
Caroline 7 mths
Marriage at St Cuthberts Bedford states
Robert Usher aged 27 carrier - no parents recorded
Mary aged 21 dressmaker daughter of William Craddock Carpenter

shipping records for passage to australia are vague as The only possible record found was a Robert Usher to Melbourne on Saladin 1852 and then a Mrs Usherand three children on the speedy 1854 as they were all free private passengers - not paid for or sponsored could not even confirm the right UshersThey settled in Sydney and had 6 more children. Have not been able tolocate a death yet either - was alive 1864 for Post office records state they lived at fitzroy st Sydney and Robert was a collier.
Any assistance would be welcomed
