I seem to have hit a brick wall with this one. Or perhaps I am just missing the blinding obvious:

George ARNOLD b around 1845/6 in Horley Surrey. Married Mary Ann Waghorn (who was born Maidstone) in Lewisham in 1865. In 1861 census he is in Greenwich with his parents JOHN and MaryAnn. In 1871 his son, Walter George is with his grandparents, JOHN and Mary Ann in Greenwich and Walter George is with them 10 years later in 1881 - also Greenwich. John would appear to be born in Horley around 1822.

However, the only birth for George I can find in Horley gives his father as FRANCIS. I canot find George with a father John on 1851 - but I have found the George whose father is Francis.

Are John and Francis one and the same?? How can I work it out? I don't think they are because ages are about 10 years out I think.
