Deceasedonline.com have good coverage of Forfar cemetery. It is a pay to view site but can be very useful as you can find all burials within a lair (so you can find those without or unnamed on a headstone). They have a burial for a Robert Tyrie in Newmonthill Cemetery (the main cemetery for Forfar) on 21 August 1889 - perhaps your Robert's father?

I am trying to trace my Great Grandfather.
His name is Robert Tyrie - Born in Forfar, Angus, Scotland in about
1868. The 1901 Census for England and Wales states his age as 33.
