Thank you for that. It seems it is not the Lucy I am looking for. Mine was born in Ipswich Suffolk. I am not sure if she is still alive in 1911 but have been unable to find a death so far.

My Samuel Barker was orginally married to Eliza Barker but I could not find either of them on the 1891 census living in Clerkenwell London. I have found Samuel on the 1901 census living in a workhouse in Holborn but not Eliza although he still says he is married.

He was a iron moulder born stowmarket and I found a Samuel with right birth date on the 1891 census but living with a Lucy and they had children. She is much younger than him. I cannot find a marriage for these two though and now wonder if they married at all. They were living in colchester essex but some of the children were born in Ipswich

I dont know when or if Eliza had died by this time and as there are quite a lot of Eliza Barkers it is difficult to find the right one On the 1911 census Samuel was with his daughter The Samuel with Lucy was also born in Stowmarket and a Iron Moulder

Sorry for the delay in replying just that I started watching something on tv then it was too late to check my mail.

Yes the 1881 census for Samuel and Eliza is mine. I cannot find Eliza on a 1891 census with or without Samuel. It seems as if the 1891 census with Samuel and Lucy should be my Samuel as I cant think there would be 2 Samuels born same time and both iron moulders. If I could find Eliza's death it would help. I have searched for a marriage between Samuel and Lucy but cannot find one anywhere.

Thank you for trying to help. I had another brick wall in my tree but after a couple of years I solved that one so maybe I will solve this one eventually. I cant even find a death for a lucy that would be right birth date. The only thing I can think of is to send for one of the childrens birth certificates and see if she puts down a maiden name.

Hello Ann,
no, couldn't find one either for Samuel, does say St. Luke on freeBMD birth, not all Parishes are covered on London Baptisms, Ancestry.
