Yes, me too Chris, but the transcription of the census on Ancestry.co says Alice Maud's Father is William Morley. I wonder if someone just made that assumption then, and is not based on hard evidence. I just got drawn in. |

William is certainly Alice Maud's father. the 1881 census shows her father as William Morley!! Hooray. Still no news on mother Frances Morley. All a bit strange. |

I am so new to this, I don't understand how people go missing on the various records, other than mistakes in the writing or reading. I have seen Linton transcribed as Sinton and Alice transcribed as Allin, so am looking at possible mistakes of that nature. Thank you for all your help. |

I just wondered what it might say (marriage certificate). |

Julia | Report | 30 Jan 2011 23:06 |
No, and I wonder if she ever knew who her father was. I was really trying to nail down a mother first, hence getting her birth certificate. I suppose the marriage cert will have her father's name on it if she knew who he was? |

Hello, can anyone tell me anything about this person please? On the 1851 census he is listed as male aged 6 yrs but I hope that is wrong and is female. Is this sort of error possible? I cannot find his/her birth or any further record of him/her. |
