Member Since: April 2004 Posts: 5,141 Send Message	For a friend. Alice Death was born in Sept quarter 1855. Any proof of parentage would be helpful. (possibly Alice, illegitimate. Alice married George Squirrel the following year apparently. Anything definite tying them together would be helpful (I know certs could be applied for, but not my family). I have seen them on the various census, 1861 being probably significant) Happy days

	On the 1881 census Alice Death (born 1855) is described as George Squirrell's step-daughter, so she must be Alice Death snr.'s illegitimate daughter. Kath. x

	I think we have to be careful here. There are 2 Alice Death births that year. One in Hoxne reg and one in Stow. Obviously we want the one in Stow??? The one with her grandparents in 1861 doesn't appear to be the correct one. 	--Fressingfield Sufforlk Bapt of Alice Death. 29th July.1855------may equate to a birth appearing in September quarter registration . Parents. George &Mary Death. IGI= www.familysearch.org. is extracted from parish register. a George Death is living with parents in 1861,image shows a widower ,Blacksmith journeyman and age 33.
