If you meant that he was born in 1906, then this is probably his birth certificate

England & Wales, FreeBMD Birth Index, 1837-1915

You may well have to buy some certificates in order to to confirm names of his mother and father.


They cost £9.25, and you order them from www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/


The only other place from which to buy certificates is the Registry Office, where the event was registered.


Do not, please, be tempted to order certificates through GR, ancestry or any other site ..... they will charge you much moe than £9.25

Thye married in March quarter 1929


from www.freebmd.org.uk ..... the place to look for all registrations from July 1 1837, to currently about 1950

Trying to find information about my grandfather who was born November c 1906 in Tyneside. He lived in Huddersfield and married to Eveline Holman (don't know date of marriage or where). He was a site forman for a steel erection company in Huddersfield and prior to this he was a petty officer in the British Royal Navy. He sadly died before I was born and my grandmother is no longer alive. Any further information would be greatfully appreciated- such as names of b rothers and sisters ( I know he had a brother called Frank who had a fish and chip shop in Portsmouth), date of birth of his father who was called Albert and was a tram driver in Tynside.
