I have now received the marriage cert for Daphne as below and there is no Father's name on the cert (Why is this please?).

I am trying find the birth and death of a George Cooksey he married Daphne Futcher who was born in 1916, at Midhurst Sussex and they married in June 1945 in Bromsgrove in Worcestershire.

Daphne's Mother was Lilian Futcher who was born in Whitchurch Hampshire in aprrox 1891-1892, I am really stuck on this one.

Do you have the marriage certificate for age of George and father's name Darkie?

I take it you don't have his marriage cert? You need it i think.

I do not have a marriage cert but one of Lilian Futchers great grandsons mother-in-law has given me the correct details of where she married, and her and I do not know anymore info and also I don't know who the father of Daphne was, she had a brother who was Eric born 1913 (Deceased).

I am very sorry my info is very vague, I really don't know where George died but Daphne died in Chelmsford, Essex in 1988.

Darkie, there are too many George Cooksey's born around the right period to be sure that death is the right one.

You will need to buy the marriage cert for George's age and details of father. As you don't say whether either party might still be alive I will PM the marriage reference for you to order from GRO.

It looks like I will have to get the marriage cert and as I don't know much about George Cooksey I will have to work on Daphne a bit more she is (deceased)

Mother's maiden name is Futcher as you can see, same for Daphne, so it looks possible that she was not married.

This is the mystery that I am trying to find out as on Eric's birth cert it has no fathers name sorry should have said more on Eric, as far I know I think Eric and Daphne had the same fathers and then Lilian went onto marry my Grandad Walter Cozens they had a son Ronald Futcher and then he became Cozens, I do know a lot about the Futcher family its just Daphne and George that is so vague.

Not sure why you think it's vague - you have their birth and their mother's name plus an unusual name to work with!

I do have a lot of info on my Futcher family, but what I am trying to find out if my Grandad (Walter Cozens) was the same father to all the children that Lilian and Walter had, Lilian had 4xchildren in total including my Mother. (3xwith the same surname as Futcher and the 4th child Cozens).

(Mother now deceased).

I am going to order the marriage cert and birth cert for Daphne today and hopefully it will provide more info.
