just been told i have to go to national archives kew to get these details or pay a researcher £60 oh well thats the end of that unless i get to kew later

could someone please assist in finding the following ive tried without success

national archives kew met police attestation registers ref no mep04/5
herbert edwin hawtin
met police general orders will give the division he served with also his collar no when he joined the force 1871 ref no mep07/33
1875 when he left mep07/37
ive tried but cannot work out how to trace

could someone look at the 1881 census for thomas symonds 1809 married elizabeth hawtin 1856 kirtlington i believe he died 1873 abingdon aged 82
also could you look at the census from 1881 onwards for his wife elizabeth

as you will note from the thread reples edwin hawtins stepchildren
his wife frances was married before to someone by the surname of george {see chlidren}i believe this marr was 1870 -1874
edwin also married before to christina propach 1872 marylebone she died aged 36 headington oxfordshire 1880 march qtr he then married frances george a widow dec qtr the same year
