have tried to get george friths, born 1905 birth certificate from north shields office, also his death certificate. north shields seem to hsve changed tele. no. already have marrige cert. for george to esther miller,1924

Elaine, I think they might have moved office.

It's just as easy to order it online from General Register Office (GRO) http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ The cost is £9.25 so it's no more than from the office.
