Michael if your thread was concerning a 1959 birth then there was no real information in the replies except to say that the information you needed had been sent by private message - so the details that you required will be in your inbox.

There were *two* threads?? Not just a violation of someone's privacy, but a violation of the rule against multiple threads about the same thing.

There wsan't any info in the thread I saw, and I certainly hope there wasn't any in the other one, as people here should know better than to post such details in threads.

Ginny said she was sending you info by private message, presumably the birth registration information. Click above on Messages, then on Inbox, to find it.

I found info about a relevant marriage, but having no idea of your connection with the person in question, I'm reluctant to pursue this. If you can say -- without naming names -- what your relationship is with the person whose birth details you posted, I could send that privately as well.

They were two different names JC both the same subject one on TTF the other on records if its the ones I'm thinking about

Ah. And I thought better of my suggestion -- Michael, if you send me a private message explaining your search, I'll send you more info about the parent.

Hi everyone I am going to try one last time. My Grandfather was born 1888/89 in bury Manchester. I did have a record that he was in the forces but I cannnot rememember what regiment it was and I am one hundred percent it was the first worl war. His name was Andrew McAndrew bborn 1888/89 . He would have been 51 and married with quite a few children to be in the second world war, although I could be mistaken.

Is there anyway someone might be able to help me.

Thank you for your time Mike

Michael I have had a look on military records but there don't appear to be any service records for him, bear in mind though that a large number of records were destroyed.

Potty Report 31 Jan 2012 12:56

Do you have his marriage cert or birth certs of his children? Maybe his rank and regiment would be on one of those.

Was Kucinta's info of no use. A thank you to her might be appropriate.

HI Potty,

Michael did thank me by pm. :-)

He didn't have any more info to add, so I didn't repost the pm to the thread.

Thanks though :-)
