Hi - new to all this and hope someone can help.

My great grandparents had 14 children! Seems they never married as I've searched every record for 10 years between the 1891 and 1901 Census.
EMMA JANE SPRENTALL born c.1874 Nunthorpe/Stokesley, Yorkshire single in 1891, apparently married WILLIAM HENRY READ (also known as JOHN READ) before the 1901 Census . William Henry Read born 1870 Stockton, Yorkshire
I think the Read family were catholics so wondering if the marriage is not recorded in these online registers.
Help greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
