Hi Ann/Janet
If this is my Thomas his DOB would be 2 Oct 1887.
In 1911 there is a good candidate for my Thomas living in Newport Monmouthshire.
As far as a death cert I can not find a suitable entry.
I will contact the reg if don't have any luck with this site.

Thank you for taking interest

Best Wishes

gwyn,

I found that, it is the only one for the death date of 20/11/1918, but I discounted it beccause of the service number??

Everything seems to fit apart from the number?????

Hello Everyone

I would say the Tipton Thomas must be the same man, even if the service number does not fit. It may be a common name, but its not likely there are two men in the same batt dying on the same day ?.
My thomas was the son of Leonard Smith, so the search continues
Thank you to everyone who took interest

Best Wishes
