May i ask for your help again please?
I am looking for the surname of an Emma 1872 born in Upper End, Derbyshire & married to Arthur Middleton in 1892 in C el Frith. They lived in Wormhill in the 1901 census.

Yes Dereck i was getting my generations in a bit of a twist. Its the same names that throw me. regards

Betty from Hope is the one who DIED in 1850.........check the dates of the info provided.

As for the one who married SAMUEL (who was alive in 1881)................look for the marriage on freebmd (as above) and find her surname

Don't get your generations mixed up, or you will have terrible problems with your tree................

Many thanks to all for your help. I think the Betty from Hope is possibly the correct one as in the 1881 census her birth place is recorded as Bradwell.

Little bit more from Derek.........Betty B. baptised 03.04.1808 daughter of Thomas Bradbury and Betty nee Marsden. married 19.08.1799.who in turn was the daughter of Ambrose and Betty Marsden who married 08.09.1782..

Hugh Middlerton married Elizabeth (Betty) Bradbury at Hope. 10.07.1827

If you're not hapy with a birth for Betty at hope 1808..remember early census Records rounded upp or down ages........there is another Betty Bradbury baptised Glossop 27.10.1812..who could easily be born 1811

Hi can i possibly have a bit of help please. I have an Elizabeth born 1811 and died in 1850. She married Hugh Middleton about 1828 but i dont have any idea what her surname was before she married Hugh. She was probably born in Derbyshire & maybe in Bradwell or Bakewell. Any help would be greatly recieved
