Scott, ages on immigration lists are often inaccurate, usually by 1 or 2 years, but sometimes more. |

Hi. I have all the relevant birth, marriage and family details of this chap who emmigrated from Brighton to Sydney Australia in the 1880's. I am trying to find out when he emmigrated (can find no record) and about his life here before he got married (married Amelia Victoria TIPPETT in 1889). I am trying to confirm a family story that he was a 'lead violinist' playing in Gilbert and Sullivan productions in Australia before he got married, but on the last cencus that he appears on (1881 Brighton) he is listed as a 'plumber'! |
