on harriets birth certificate here name is jessy harriet emma webb, but must have used harriet.

Still no luck so far. What was the address for Henry and/or Harriet?

Can't see a Joseph, photographer in 1881.

i think the address read, either 4 st james place or 4 james place.

found out forma relative who is also searching for the same person, that joseph jenkins was born about 1837in St Marys Porthcawl, Glamorgan Wales, and in 1871 census was in St Mary, Glamorgan, Wales.

Well I can't find him. The only Joseph Jenkins I can find in St Mary is born Cadoxton and is a dock labourer. No Henry Jenkins in sight. Also in 1861 &1881.

So there is some mix-up somewhere.

The only real facts you have are 1) the marriage cert, when Henry is in Middx., 2) the 1891 census when they are in the Kensington district, and 3) his wife's birth in Kensington district:

I think Wales may be a wild goose chase.

There are no Webbs or Jenkins at 4 St James Place or 4 James Place on the 1881 census taken in April. They were there in December according to the marriage cert.

So they are being elusive.

I know this is getting no closer to Henry's mother's name, but we still have to find Henry in any census other than 1891. There are a lot of puzzles with this family.
