William Lomas was born around 1863 on is marriage cert is father's name is William Lomas as well, he got married in 1887
He was born Yorks Worsbro Dale it says on the 1911 census

There was a thread on here about 6/12 months ago about this family and the surname change with Lomas and Mayo from this area.......... I think a female Lomas/Mayo married Joseph Wright.

Just want to point out that there seems to be a bit of a problem with ages here. It would make William only 9yrs old when he had his first child, but original census does give ages as 26yrs for William and 30yrs for Harriet.

Bit of a mystery about William! 1851 census shows his name as Lomas, but this could be why the family are noted as Mayo in the 1861 census:-
