Wow Derik, thanks for the info, could you let me have the census for 1851, it would be a great help. Thanks Vera you might have her in 1871, bless a servent at age 11. No wonder she married so young, she must have lied about her age.

Hi Vera, that would seem like her, what do you make of it? Do you think her mother went there to have her then left to go back to Birmingham? could you find her in 1871, or her mother who may have been called brown by then, her husband was called Charles browm they married in 1863 Birminham

I think this is the oddest persons history I have come across!

Thanks again
Kathy

Have you a year of birth for her?

Kathleen Report 21 Oct 2010 22:46

hi can anyone find 1861 census for Elizabeth Turnpenny. She had a daughter Sarah Ann in Shrewsbury Shropshire in 1860, I believe she was unmarried at the time. She married Charles Brown in 1863 in Birmingham, so in 1871 her name would have changed, I wonder if she also changed her daughters name, if anyone can find the 1871 census they should be on it. Her daughter married also in Birmingham so I expect they would be in the same area
Thanks
Kathy
