can anyone help!! i'm looking for the birth of THOMAS William WINN,he married rose ely [widow]who had childrenby previous,M 1917 ,they then had [definately 1 son Alfred George Theodore WINN] my father i have his birth cert, born 1920,in abt 1925 she remarried George White [who i remember as my grandfather] i heard[not sure if it's true]that thomas may have had a breakdown,in those day's they termed,mad,or divorce or death please help linda

I have a kezia in my family tree,its a lovely name isn't it.

Edit earlier I posted that Jeffrey Ely and Rose Leeves had 3 children,I now think that is wrong as the sister of Roseby the name of Elizabeth maud reeves married Joseph Ely 1910 and they had 2 children who I thought were Rose's sorry.

hi mary, idont think you were wrong, i believe she did have at leased 2 charlie and alice ,because i remember the family and when all my aunts and uncles were together, tommy,alfred and cyril were very similar and alice and charlie had a likeness ,but we all knowthis doesn't meen anything i will try checking again today-there are so many t .w.winn's just not sure what's right as i didn't know where he was born,i am new at this and am grateful for any info ,yes kezia is a lovely name i wonder where it originated i have never heard it before ? regards linda

next door to Thomas w Winn a painter born Godstone 1828 and Elizabeth Parents of thomas 1828 were acoording to a tree on Ancestry were John Winn 1796 -1864 it says born Christchurch Surrey but in 1841 it says they wern;t born in the county of Surrey!! His wife was Sarah Upton 1806 -1868 born Speldhurst Kent.

Sarah not born in County with them is thomas W Winn 1828.

Thomas Winn was unmarried in 1851 and there was this marriage in Godstone in 1854 O/N/D 2a 203 to a Elizabeth Waters.This would fit as he was married in 1861 census.

No Linda,in 1841 if they weren't born in county it just has n for not but it doesn't then say which county they were born.

There is also Christchurch in Wiltshire,just google it
