Neither of these John Snows feature in the military records. Both would have been too old for WW1! In fact there are no John Snows that could have been her father in military records.

Also not all details like fathers names and occupations are correct

The Reading family had a son called John.
The 1 beside John could mean that it came first before James.

I have Jane Snow's marriage certificate and her father was definately James John but it has a single pen stroke through James and the number 1 in brackets beside the John. Do you think the James was a mistake perhaps?. Where would I go from here.
