Have pm'd you.

The two that Alison found, the 1834 is an extracted one,the other one is submitted.
I 'think' the 1834 is more likely to be the right one.Maybe somebody else can confirm what I think .

Thank you very much Marion

I think you have found a big clue. Have come across the Midlothian before in Family documents but the names didn't match, but the ages do.

Mmmm am thinking will have to try and find all children born to John MacLeod (McLeod) and Margaret from the marriage dates I have been given, either 1831, 1833 or 1834.

Could you possibly please assist with this one, you can see by the other details on the thread, its a bit confusing...

Many thanks
Leslie

Hi Kath

Yes, sorry I did delete it, was warned very early on when asking someone to do a search don't double up, so thought that's what I did, so I got rid of it.

Yes, I did get the information on Richard Buchanan and I did say thank you, I must have pulled it before you saw it. Sorry again... also pulled it because I still couldn't find a connection for Ann McLeod to John and Margaret, so thought maybe I had the wrong parents. There is no birth record in australia, but I know Ann and Richard married and had kids because you found them.

Very confusing I must say

Thank you again Kath

Cheers

Hi Leslie,
Have you deleted the thread for Richard Buchanan b. 1836 Paisley?
I added some information for you yesterday and I can't find it now.
The info incorporated Ann McLeod.

You do not need to delete straight away when others are still trying to help.

Can you confirm receipt of the information I gave please.

Regards
Kath

Hi

I am having trouble finding a connection so thought I would try from the other end.

Can someone look up details on a
John McLeod
Born 29th Mar 1811 in Waternish, Scotland
Died 12 Nov 1853, Newcastle NSW

and his wife
Margaret McLean
Born 1805 in Waternish Scotland
Died 30 Aug 1878 in Balmain, NSW

I am trying to find the link to their supposed daughter Ann

Information on their marriage, siblings and emigration would be very helpful.

Thank you for your assistance

Cheers
