There are no Boylan-s in early censuses in Norfolk (barring mistranscriptions by Ancestry). And no births, marriages, deaths for that surname in Norfolk 1838-1861, on a quick search at FreeBMD.

Boylan is a bit of an Irish name -- most Boylans in early censuses seem to be from there, and living in Lancashire.

Can you give the sources of the various information you have?

I am trying to find information on a Walter Henry Boylan belived to have been born in 1831 in Norfolk England. His parents were Charles and Susannah Boylan. Walter had a sister Susannah who may have been born in Australia although I don't know this for sure. I know Walter died in Opotiki New Zealand in Nov 1888 and he had married a Minnie Wellesley ???
Thank you.
