Thanks dee , have got that but it opens more questions, we cannot find Olive may Spiling anywhere either so we assume she must have been born in India.

Hi Amanda,

sorry for for the delay, the details were from the Canada journey. I have found this though;

UK Incoming Passenger Lists, 1878-1960 about Chd May
Name: Chd May
Birth Date: abt 1915
Age: 5
Port of Departure: Bombay, India
Arrival Date: 6 Jun 1920
Port of Arrival: London, England
Ports of Voyage: Plymouth
Ship Name: Morea
Search Ship Database: View the 'Morea' in the 'Passenger Ships and Images' database
Shipping Line: Peninsula and Orient Steam Navigation Company Ltd
Official Number: 128235

Traveling with 2 other children (no names given) aged 8 and 6 and also Mr E H May aged 42 who is a merchant. So if this is the family then the other (missing child) was born approx 1914 and was female.

So just to summarise;

George born approx 1912

Hi Mandy,

I have been trying to find her name, unfortunately I haven't come up with anything as yet. I'm sure there must be BMD records for India available, I'll try a search on here on the advanced search facility and see what I can find.

Do you have Herbert's death certificate? If you have does it say who registered his death? Also maybe if he left a will it may mention his children?

Mandy,

I'm not sure if Find My Past may have births in India, these may only be for the Army personnel.... but I'm not quite sure.

It maybe worth asking for a Find My Past overseas birth look up, also put that you have another thread on here regarding the family and direct them to it by copy and pasting these details;

Fingers crossed we may find births for the boys and be able to give this little lady a name???

Mandy,

If you click onto my board man and send me a private message with your email address I'll send you a copy of the passenger list for George in 1927. It is really hard to decipher the address..... however it may help to print it off and get a real close look?

I still can't see anything foe the May daughter.
