Stanley, have you seen the correct entry above? Always best to look on Freebmd to check. Handsworth came under West Brom. at that time.

I am starting to feel a bit invisible. If William was definitely born Handsworth then his birth record is above, registered in West Bromwich.

The district W.bromwich is an alternative name for West Bromwich and it spans the boundaries of the counties of Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

Stanley Report 29 Sep 2010 12:58

yes sometimes they have handsworth as westbromwich so if I reapply with same reference but new reg distrct that should bring result. this was my first attempt with GrO guess I got to learn by mistakes

Hello everyone - regained visibilty at last! The only invisible thing now is the "thanks everyone" from Stanley.
Stanley, a useful tip - if I'm unsure of a registration district I just google "registration district ..." (in this case Handsworth) and find out that way.
The districts for B'ham and surrounding areas are a bit of a nightmare so be aware you might have a few surprises!

If you have the Vol and Page number, and the district, you dont need to enter the quarter.

Hi Stan.
Have you checked with Anthony Babbington to see if he already has this cert?
