hi mark my fathers name was philip gowan he was born in frome in 1924 he died in 1951 i hope this is some help. alan

Hi All - Would be delighted to hear from anyone with ancestors of GOWEN / GOWAN / GAWEN from Somerset. Earliest record I have is for one JOHN GAWEN, born 1786 in Great Elm, Somerset, married to SARAH CHIVERS, would love to know more about them or details of THEIR ancestors. Mark Gowen
