thankyou so much i have had a great deal of help, i am still struggling to find my fathers brothers all i know is he is francis mcintyre born 18/12/1921 blackburn his father is joseph previously mentioned but i cant find anything for joseph after the 1901 census showing he was born in horwich in 1887 i dont know who he married because my dad is very old and cant remember his mothers name as she died when he was very young. So really struggling to find joseph after the 1901 census his wife and all the sons they had including my father

It looks like Joseph married a lady named Mary in 1906 going by the maiden name of your dad's mum on his birth reg.

Could this be Mary, Joseph's wife, in the 1911 census?

Susan, there is a lady named Lisa who has an Albert Mcintyre born1923 in Lancs, in her tree on this site, if you go to search trees and type in his name and year of birth you will be able to send her a message to see if your families are connected
