her name was Helen Kate born in Holywood. Co Down. Ireland (now N.Ireland) february 1900. Two other children were Elizabeth Ruth, and Thomas William. They were all shown in the 1901 census is it Worley, Brentwood Essex. By this time Grandma was pregnant with her child Frederick David. You are really kind. Thank you so much |

Thank you so much. re 1916 information. found out only in the last year or so about the life of Helen Kate and sadly found out she must have died in England whilst on holiday with parents when she was very young, a few months old. |

Ladykira, I am so pleased. Yes, this is Thomas and Elizabeth and I had tried a couple of years ago to find out the name of his wife but couldn't. He had, I believe, a daughter but know nothing of her. I wish we so could find her, she would be in her 70s by now, somewhere either in Canada, where Elizabeth's family still are, maybe still in Detroit. Is there anyway of me finding out any information re: his daughter and if she is still alive. Who would I write to in Canada to find out about his military records. Hope you don't mind me asking but you brilliant at this. |

last message i typed disappeared hope this doesn't appear twice. Yes, Granny had 5 children living. May Rosemond was my mother and lived until 1976. She was a real lady and her mother was a wonderful lady by all accounts. Granny, had a little girl called Helen Kate, and she died I think within a few months or the first year of her life. The Byatts were a wonderful family. It was so sad Granny Byatt lost her mother suddenly and her husband very suddenly within 2 weeks of each other. Thank you so much for your help. |

My Uncle Thomas was sent as a young boy with his sister, Elizabeth to Toronto Canada around 1909. We have contacted Elizabeth's family, but never heard of Uncle Thomas. We would love to hear from anyone who knew him or would so love to hear from his family. I believe he and his wife had a daughter. He was born in Holywood, Ireland, now Northern Ireland and lived in Belfast until his voyage to Canada. |
