Find Ancestors

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any way to find details such a occupations on census in print rather than handwritten. I am trying to get information on my Great Grandfathers family on the 1901 census but the handwritting is unreadable.

What is the name, DOB etc?

census typed and originals can be seen

put name birth details area as much info as you have and someone will search

It may just me being an idiot but I just can't see it. I know sometime it shows on the info in Ancestry but this is isn't. I know George R's occupation was an Upholsterer.

I dont use ancestry, probably why I misunderstood what your problem was, so does ancestry only show full details on original document?

1911 census details I posted says married 32 years 7 children born to marriage 5 living 2 deaths.

On some documents it will show the information in typed format but in the case of older records it doesn't. In case of older birth records it doesn't show mothers maiden name either which has caused problems.

So the 1911 census shows Alfred Ernest to have had 7 kids? That shouldn't be the case he didn't have his first child untill 1919.

NO!...........his parents were married for 32 years and Alfred had 6 other siblings..........dont go off on a wild goose chase! lol

If you look at the 1911 one of the sons middle name is Shields and count down 32 years from 1911...........it about fits.

So it is, I hadn't noticed that. Haha I definatly think I am using the wrong website. Yours seem so much better than Ancestry. I think I best check it out. lol
