The records won't be on Ancestry. They are generally only for those discharged up to around 1920.

Next of kin can apply for them. The cost is £30 and there is a long wait. Information is here

Ancestry have WW1 service records. I think there are rules regarding the availability of later records. You may have to provide a death certificate and proof of your relationship to the deceased.

Trying to find any army records of my uncle. Harold Edwin Rowland.B.1911.14.Wellington Ave. Toxeth. Liverpool.I belived he lie to get in the army.About some time1927 -29.
