Find Ancestors

Can anyone help me please, My grandfather Albert Bardin was born in Dublin about 1875 and died in Wallsend in 1945. Hes was the son of Patrick Bardin and Margaret Curry from Inns Quay Dublin. He and his 5 siblings were born between 1864-1884, his siblings are documented but there are no records of Albert 1875. I need to obtain his birth cert. but I require his DOB to obtain this, Can anyone help please.

I wonder why the 1911 states married 18 years, when the marriage was in 1904?

Possibly Jane stated the total number of years she had been married..
There is a Margaret Bardin b 1875 Ire.listed on the 1901 Census Wallsend ...I dont have Census to check it out Peter..maybe a relation of Albert's.

An Albert Bardin Married a Jane Drew (Nee Davis) L'Pool 1904..as above...
Jane Davis was previously married to a William Drew in 1892 at St James RC Church Bootle.
William Drew's death Sept.1902 Registered West Derby aged 38years.
Mary Jane Drew's birth was Reg.West Derby June 1903.

Peter...This may be Francis "Frank" Davenport 1901 Dublin with family...depends really on whether Mary "Bardin" married a George Davenport.
Francis is not with family 1911...(See Wallsend Census as listed for Albert and family)

Thank you Eringobragh I have got that information. What I am after is the birth of Albert Bardin in Dublin. I want to obtain his birth certificate and I have had a negative reply from the Civil Registration Office in Ireland; they have no record of Albert. During my search I have discovered his 5 siblings documented on various web sites, but Albert I can't find anywhere until 1904 when he married Jane Drew (nee) Davis. I've never been let down on this site everyone is so helpful, hence my request for assistance which has already begun. Many thanks

Hi Eringobragh, you could well have the answer of Francis Davenport I was looking for him as the son of Mary one of Jane Davis's 10 sisters, but she was born in 1843. As I have only discovered that Albert had a sister Mary these past two day, Mary Bardin born 1864 would seem to be the right mother for Francis. Thank you for putting me back on tack, he must have been the nephew mentioned on the 1911 census, I assumed that he was a Davis. Again many thanks

Peter...I have had look on the Family search Pilot site and there is a George Davenport Marriage Reg,Dublin 1888 also corresponding with Mary Bardon same reg date and place...in fact there are 5 for Mary Bardin/en/on/an all the same "details"...I am not quite sure how you actually work it out but..have look maybe you can cross ref.better.

It seems that Patrick Bardin and Margaret Curry named 2 of their daughters Mary. !. Mary Bardin born 1/11/1864 and 2. Mary Kathleen Bardin born 18/1/1880. It's most probable that the former Mary married George Davenport their age differences was only 2 years.

Peter..George and Mary are living Old Camden St.Dublin 1911...says married 23 years..so that fits with 1888...13 children 7 still living...
Know it doesn't help with Albert but you can keep it for ref.

Peter...Have you checked to see who Margaret Bardin (1901 Census Wallsend ) was and who she was living with....

I've not been able to find out who she is, however in 1901 Albert was a lodger in Wallsend and not living under her roof. He was a Seaman at the time, possibly his ship was being refitted at the time and there was no room at the Inn so to speak! (she may have been his sister, I just don't know)

His sister was Margaret Theresa Bardin born 9/10/1872

I checked on the Family Search Pilot site for any "Albert" born Dublin before 1900...no surname...this came up with parents Patrick "Barnes" and Margaret Curry...there were no other children born to these parents either on the Pilot site or on the IGI...

Peter..When you go into the Pilot Site you will see 4 actual entries for Albert..(taken from various sources)..the 4th is taken from the Civil Reg....I am sure the surname has been mis transcribed...
The details for area etc.are the same for Richard (b.1896)
