As you know, there's no such thing as a UK d.cert, since UK BMD certs are under the control of the individual countries of the UK.
This jurisdictional divide was exported to the American colonies, and retained by them after they united into the USA.
So you need to know which state has jurisdiction, and that's not clear from the posts so far.
Anyways, lets assume it's Mass.

Go to http://www.cyndislist.com/us/ and look up Mass, then BMDs, then take your pick.

One year on from previous postings re George Dawe...........................am now wondering if it was Richard Wilfrid aka George Dawe's son, also George, born 1915, who emigrated to Ohio. Anyone with access to USA records please? George jnr born in South Shields, then County Durham.

Given the dob, doesn't look like your George.

In the 1891 census he was shown as being 1 year old, born in South Shields, Co Durham.

You will need to give his year of birth and place of birth.

Does anyone have access to USA (Ohio) records for one look-up? This is my uncle who was sea-going and I cannot find anything for him after 1891 census in South Shields. My dad always said that George had emigrated to Ohio. I have traced a George Dawe who died in Ohio in 1973 but don't know anything more about him. Thanks for any help.
