there's no 1920 birth listed.
you should be able to find the family on FreeBMD as you also know grans name .if Violet married before she went to Canada it should be listed but maybe need to search another site other than FreeBMD

hi shirley have just found out information i was given was incorrect and have looked up free bdm and got correct births up.thankyou for your help.what i have found confusing on bdm is i typed in births to o'donnell /flanagan in birkenhead and all came up except may o'donnell the eldest daugher 1912 supposedly and a thomas 1912 comes up? they had all girls bar patrick,margarets twin.?what do you think?regards vicky

Is this May born in 1911 ?
Mother's maiden names don't show on index until 1912 which would explain why she didn't come up when you entered Flanagan.

thankyou michael i cannot find any birth records for may o'donnell .i have been told marriage records have been found edward jackson and an evelyn o'donnnell married in 1932.i thinks its possible May might have been a nick name .,yet i still cannot find birth records for evelyn.i know she did marry an edward jackson,birkenhead area.regards vicky
