I am trying to trace my birth mother born Lily Maud Long ,1915, Paddington. Widowed from marriage to William Foreman who died 1962/4? living in Bromley, Kent. Believed to have remarried. She had 4 other children- Richard W, John, Paul and Susan. |

If you were adopted, your first port of call should be your local Social Services Adoption Dept. You could also try www.norcap.org.uk. |

The possible Lily M Foreman marriage is to a Planton, and there is a Lily M Planton on the electoral register for 2010, living in Bury St Edmunds. |

Thanks for all the responses. I have original birth cert. so am sure of the surnames. I believe the Planton marriage was much earlier than 1964 but will follow up the Suffolk reference. |

Have just checked Planton. He was born in 1950 - a bit young for Lily, born 1915 ! |

I have searched for online links with the 4 children but had no luck yet. Have also checked phone books and sent letters without success. Their generation are much more mobile and not living in /bromley or even Kent ,now |

I believe this to be the one. The story goes that he died of grief at the loss of one of his sons aged 10. |
