Yes Flick I’m starting to think that way, it’s a shame that there’s nobody around today to ask, My mother and cousin Jean where young children at the time of her death and they don’t know anything. |

As there was no penalty until 1875 for not registering births, you may have to accept that her birth wasn't registered. |

No clues there one was Robert Elliott's sister Elizabeth and the other a Policeman from Esh called Thomas Chambers. |

Seeking information on my great grandmother, “Mary Jane Carr” who married Robert Elliott in Esh (County Durham) 1892, when her age was recorded as 25. Her occupation was “household servant”, and her father’s “Thomas Carr” as miner. |
