how do i find someone after 1911 census

ancestry.co.uk gives access to things like phone books which are handy for addresses, 192.com has electoral registers which may be helful. They are both paid sites however. |

ER's record those eligible to vote - limited franchise up to around 1930 - over-21 thereafter, until 1969. |

The census still goes on but in the UK there is a 100-year gap before you can view it (1911 has been brought forward a bit for England, Wales and Northern Ireland). |

To go back further - to find out Martha's surname for instance - you need one of the birth certs of one of their children. |

In a word, no. The 1921 census will not be available for at least another 10 years. |

Thanks - But you need the certifcates to be sure. I couldn't find his birth post 1911 so the only other option was that he was already born. |
