Was wondering if an 1852 death cert would give children of deceased... I have the date etc. but have only 1 child and know there was at least 2 if not 3.

Daniel Eyre
Sarah Izzard m. 1843

Child 1. George b. 6.10.1844

Thanks

Name: George Eyre
Record Type: Baptism
Date: 6 Oct 1844
Father's Name: Daniel Eyre

almost certainly no children would be on a death cert.

I've just found a tree on ancestry that give Daniel as dying in Australia in 1903 ?
sarah izzard dies 1852 and 2 unnamed children die in 1855

then by 1858 he i has married a Catherine Coulter and has 7 more children ..

Yes Daniel came to Australia in 1856 after the death Of Sarah and his children...and remarried .I have that info and his Australian line. (This is my family)

What I am looking for are the names of his children with Sarah in England

Cheers

Oh, good one,Lindsey!!!

I was wondering why she may have died in Manchester.
Since Daniel was in service they probably moved around .

Still don't see anyone in 1851 though.

Mind you, there's a bleeping heat wave going on here and I think my brain is fried. (so to speak)

Birth, marriage and deaths all had to be registered from July 1 1837

not sure where people keep getting the idea that the dates are much later!!

However ......... you will NOT find the names of any children nor of parents of adults on England and Welsh death certificates.

You might get the name of the spouse, either as wife of xxxx or widow of xxxx, or if the spouse was the informant.

The only information on a death certificate that is reliable is:

date and place of death
name and address of informant
name of doctor
cause of death

everything else on there is "as known" to the infomant ......... even to the name, age and marital status of the deceased.

I hadn't realised there was another thread:
http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1226238&px=1

I really think the 1851 census that Victoria found is the correct family.

I bet this is one of the children:

Says Sarah died at 15 Buckley St Manchester. It looks like it's Daniel's brother:
