Flick

Flick Report 2 Jul 2010 21:15

There are no deaths in Lancashire, as I said above.

Does she know where he is buried? Could try the cemetery for dates.

Which docks?

Sorry to ask this, but was your MIL estranged from her father? That would seem the only reason for her not knowing exactly where and when he died...........

cane

cane Report 2 Jul 2010 22:24

he was burried in weaste cemetery salford, she was at his funeral.

cane

cane Report 2 Jul 2010 22:26

Rose
Do you think the cemetery would make a charge for this kind of search....as i do not have an accurate date in mind......

Flick

Flick Report 2 Jul 2010 22:36

Some cemeteries do charge - but not all of them.

My local one has a standard enquiry form, and it states 'in some circumstances, a charge MAY be made'

It wouldn't cost more than a phone call to find out what the system is at Salford................

cane Report 2 Jul 2010 23:08

oh ok Flick......thank you....
will try that.

You might find the CEMSEARCH site useful. I think it would cost about £6 for details of his grave/burial.

But by all means try the Cemetery first as it may be cheaper or cost nothing.
