There is a brownstone for sale in New York ........ the one whose exterior views featured in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'.

It is divided into 2 apartments, and the owner wants well over $5 million US for it.

We still have a little less than 9 hours to wait before midnight arrives.

we're not going out .............. OH went to the butcher's and bought a chicken this morning, so we'll have a nice roast chicken dinner. I'll make sage and onion stuffing, and he'll do all the rest.

Then we'll do our own thing(s) for the rest of the evening, until it gets close to midnight. IF we stay awake until then, we'll watch the New Year on the TV

................ except that far too often, they just show us the Times Square event, which happened 3 hours earlier :-(

My house is not as clean as I would like it, HID does a good job when he has too....and he will have too before next sat as the landlords want to come into the house to get something out of the loft and to take a look at the Eucalyptus tree (they think it may need cutting back).

I bought HID a kindle not noticed if he has been reading anything on it unless he reads in bed? I did mention he could get his newspaper on there, but wanted to know how he was meant to do the crossword?

I also thought that Ingrid Bergman was stunning too

My ears are burning!!

I don't do the 'New Year' house cleaning thingey but I did pop round with a duster and the hoover this morning. We had a houseful last night so I just wanted to get it straight.

I am keeping my eye on that creme brulee......Sylvs knows it is my favourite and it looks extra scrummy tonight... :-D :-D

Mind you, I have just rummaged in my fridge and found some raspberries left over from last night........delicious with cream they were..... :-D

Talking of kindles......my daughter bought herself one this morning and seems quite taken with it. She also bought a cover for it - my word, they aren't cheap!!! My OH asked me to go on the website and print out the guidelines so he can look at them on paper!

I made a birthday card for my daughter and, because she likes Audrey Hepburn, I put lots of photos of her in it especially from the My Fair Lady film. Grandson said they were pictures of an 'old lady'........... :-S

Must just be me (and possibly Cynthia!) with the cleaning thing. I'm not much of a cleaner at the best of times - house too big and us too busy!

Well Lainie - many decades ago I would have like the NY kissing! Not now, you don't know where they've been.
