What is it with you lot and food?????

Morning and thank you for breakfast Sylvs. :-D

Persie, get some tie cord pyjamas......can you still buy those?

I need some tekkie advice please.........don't know why I am asking on here....but here goes...

Can't access my emails......password goes in fine, briefly shows its loading and then all I get is a blank page with the word 'done' in the bottom left hand corner along with a yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark in it. When I click on that, a box appears saying Console undefined.

Clues anyone????????

Hoping to go to my desk when OH has dressed. Have to admit that he is slowing down.......Parkinson's is progressive sadly. We take each day as it comes.

He has no bread or butter... has to have 2tsps of oil. No pumpkin or bananas...

Fruit is either 5 prunes or 5 strawberries or a stone fruit, small apple , or 1 slice of pineapple.. a day.

I do lots of ratatouilles, but he also likes boiled veg so he can drink the juice. Has to have 2 litres of liquid a day but no milk at all.... no nuts or lentils either.

He has three optifast items a day, which are a bar, shake or soup.. he has gone off the soups. We drink a lot of sparkling mineral water and he is allowed that.

Flavours can be herbs and spices, tomato paste or a little bit of soya sauce..

I did feel sorry for him at Christmas and when we have been out with others.

But I might give it ago. I have tried a couple of his shakes..

Persephone Report 10 Jan 2012 07:58

He needed to ... but it is mainly his stomach that should disappear... but his legs that were already slim have got slimmer and his face is slimmer and reduced his neck size.

He talks about losing another 12kg... I have a photo of him when he worked in Northern Australia on the roads and he is so skinny.. and brown he looked like an Aborigine...

His pyjama pants keep falling down...

Wow Pers thats a lot a weight he has shifted....well done to him

I think I'll be OK as the food I eat doesnt change that much, lots of veg as you might expect but I am cutting out the butter, cream, nuts, crisps, wine etc...full of fat or sugar and they all give me heart burn anyway!

Curry tonight....veg and no fat at all and its very nice too...BONUS

I wish Dea, that the more diet food you ate the thinner you got, how cool would that be :-D

That's a lot of weight to lose Persie - he seems to be doing VERY well !

How much more is he supposed to lose?

Persephone Report 10 Jan 2012 07:47

Himself has lost over 11kg since beginning of December doing this optifast diet. He goes back to the clinic on the 31st of Jan... that is if he hasn't disappeared altogether..
Good thing our vegetable crisper is bigger than the freezer part of the fridge. No taties or pasta or rice.. just 2 cups of veg plus the optifast stuff a day...

Never mind Ginns - It will all be worth it in the end !! <3

I was always quite a 'chubby child', then around the age of 16 all my 'puppy fat' disappeared and I became a slim teenager.

I got a job working in a Pharmacy and even in those days, when I got hungry I just HAD to have something straight away.

There was not much to hand but they did have a range of diet foods - in particular, I used to like the 'Limmits' Chocolate covered peppermint cream biscuits and I grabbed them quite often . ;-)

My dad was really worried about me eating these as he genuinely thought that the more of them you ate, the thinner you became :-D :-D :-D

As long as I don't have Brawn.. my mum often had it. though she used to buy it from the deli. I think it depends on your recipe how it all comes out..

As I have just had my dinner... I will have a cinnamon roll and will make a cup of hot chocolate.

Though your quiche does look nice Dea.... well what is left of it does!! ;-)

Dea

Hi Gins...this is what you'll see on the death cert:

Marital status of deceased
occupation
usual residence
name of deceased
cause of death
who has certified the death
where death took place
father's name & occupation
mother's name & occupation
name of informant and address
date, place and name of registrar

Hope that helps, most of my lot seem to come from Scotland, I think I have kept that site running with the amount of credits I have purchased!

Hi Grace

I had kangaroo when we were down there in 2006.

I loved it!

Mind you it was treated like a excellent cut of beef, and had a "sauce" of red currants or something similar.
