Glad your OH got here safely - funny to think he is within an hour or so of where I live - I bet there is a lot of chatting going on and I'm sure the family will be glad to see him.

it's snowing!

it's started in the last 15 minutes ...... very fine, but lots of it coming down

Let's hope the temperature stays around 0C, then it won't take long to warm up tomorrow, and for the snow to melt :-D

chopped-up dates, bananas, chopped apples, etc, and Maple Syrup


In the warmer:-

Canadian back bacon,
turkey sausages,
home-fried potatoes with garlic and bacon,
smoked salmon omelette,
spinach, feta and tomato omelette,
poached eggs,
oven-roasted grape tomatoes,
baked sliced beetroot,
grilled mushrooms,
Maple baked beans,
fried bread,

caramelized onion frittata

Country Brunch Skillet,
Vietnamese spring rolls (vegetarian) with sesame dip,
stirfry (chicken, beef, or vegetarian),
Breakfast Wrap (scrambled eggs, green pepper, tomatoes, green onions, mushrooms, hashbrowns, cheddar and salsa),
pickled herring salad,
linguine with smoked salmon,
chili con carne with garlic bread


Buttermilk Dollar Pancakes,
French (eggy) toast,
Maple syrup, Saskatoon Berry Fruit Syrup, Blueberry Fruit Syrup


Toast (sourdough, rye, white, whole grain, 100% brown, Hovis),
Danish,
croissants, b
barm cakes,


Muffins --
morning glory muffins, crunchy-top blueberry muffins, pear ginger muffins


Jams, jellies, Ginger marmalade, seville orange marmalade, marmite, peanut butter, vegemite

There is a very light breakfast for those who cannot wait for brunch :-D


Selection of cold cereals

Porridge with chopped up dates, bananas, and maple syrup (other fruit selections over there >>>> )


Toast (sourdough, rye, white, whole grain, 100% brown, Hovis), crumpets,

Danish

jams, jellies

Tea, coffee, juices


(some bacon, turkey sausage or sausage patties, eggs, tomatoes, in the hidey place to cook up for the very hungry ones!)

Have heard from OH

He had a good trip. Cousin's husband B fed him some soup

...... then they went to the pub that B's daughter manages :-D :-D :-D :-D

He also said the weather there was similar to yesterday's weather here ........ hope you're not getting the cold temperatures that we now have

I thought the same about the Koreans Sylvs. That crying was so forced and unnatural. What a harsh society to live in :-(



Gins....when I phoned A to renew my subs, I simply asked the cost of standard membership and was quoted the fee. I umm'd and ah'd a bit and then asked if there were any special offers on. The nice lady came back with the offer! :-D


Hope you have heard from OH by now Sylvs. He will have passed not far from here.......I am fairly near the motorway junction for various motorways.
