It is strange really........ whenever I came home from 'my' trips abroad, I talked non-stop for days, BUT, when hubby came back from working away, particularly from 'long-haul' as he suffered badly from jet-lag, he just wanted to sit quietly and not talk at all.

We got back on the same track eventually !!! :-D

Hello Jax!

Glad to hear that you have subscribed to GR again - will be nice to have you still around.

You made me laugh with you saying that you only started your family tree cos nothing else to do and was cheaper than other stuff!!! + that no one would be interested!! lol I have to say that my children are not interested either - they dont mind if I tell them the story of a particular family ancestor, but it seems there is no way that they will be interested in the stuff I have either paid for or printed off OR my family tree that I have done!!! [dont you just love them??]

I had to laugh also - because I am to inherit a not quite complete tea set from my father - which was given to my mother by her great aunt and which he believes is worth quite a bit of money! [bless - it isnt]. Because I get bored - I have started buying bits in the same pattern [a box full of tea service stuff + dinner plates + and am now bidding on ebay for a teapot] but my daughter insists that she doesnt want it and wont use it! I have told her that she MUST inherit this china and that both I, her grandmother and her grandfather will turn in our graves if she doesnt!!!!!

She is not in the least bit bothered by this! lol Oh to be young and carefree!!!!

It is quite nice here, I might even venture out for the first time since christmas. Parents bought me a new coat I may aswell make use of it.

I suppose its how much you eat with a take away? In my younger days I could eat a 14" pizza by myself and not put on any weight...now I could only manage half if I am lucky and put on a stone :-(

ja...x

I once heard that take-aways (chinese) weren't particularly fattening. Don't know how true it is though. I knew a lady whose family had a take away about 5 nights out of 7 (!!!) and they were as thin as lathes (and pale too).... :-S

It's absolutely horrible here and daughter wants to go into town..... :-S

I will just have some of my 'special toast' for now Sylvia as that brunch looks delicious!!

I just LOVE Chicken Karage so I have to leave room for that along with all the other lovely things.

Thanks Sylvia,
