re sis-in-law

I really don't know.

I haven't seen her for almost 4 years, when we went to have lunch with her.

She's been a bit strange for years. She told us in 2004 that she would love to come and stay in our house again, if we weren't there! Her daughter, the one who lived over here until her death in 2009, told her she shouldn't have been surprised if we seemed a "bit off" at the remark!

It seems to me, that someone should be talking to the doc.

His wife was in the bathroom for hours getting ready to go out when finally the door swung open and she said, "Honestly , do I look fat in this".
He replied, " Yes love, but to be fair, it's only a small bathroom".

Sylvs... do you think she may be overdosing... that is takes her pills, can't remember taking them aand takes another lot not long after.
I had a bit of bother with my FIL and his tablets.. MIL was is the early stages of alzheimers and he was having cancer treatment... I drew up a chart with the days of the week and places to tick etc and next time I turned up at the lodge where out patients stay in Auckland.. the chart had ticks all over the place.... Fail...

She boiled the kettle by placing a plug in one on the hot plate and I had to buy a new one. She had tea bags in the kettle and sugar bags in the cups. One never knew what one would find including her .. she wandered off through the park where some stranger found her...

Don't know Sylvs - they do seem strange side effects for that type of medication BUT, people react in very different way so you really cannot tell!

Me too Ja...x

It is strange to think that this is what went on 'in our lifetime' !!

Sad about the girl who gave birth in the Catholic Home and had her baby taken away !! - We have come across this all too often in our trees haven;t we??

I DO know that my mother never went out when she was pregnant - I suppose it was because her pregnancy showed to the world that she had done 'naughty things', even though she was married at the time - to her it was quite shameful to be seen in public !! - VERY strange!

I am quite enjoying it Dea, quite sad and funny in a way. I wonder if my mum went through all that? although I was born in hostpital not at home. We lived in Plaistow not that far from poplar really

Dea Report 23 Jan 2012 19:48

Me too Ja...x - what do you think of it?

I think it is very well written and extremely well acted!

It is very realistic when it comes to the births - except for the fact that all the babies come out looking washed and dried and the umbilical cords are obviously plastic !! ;-)

Apparently, they filmed all the pregnant women's 'bumps' in 'I can't remember the area', but they then superimposed them onto the women in the film ! - It is very well done as you 'can't see the join' !!

has anyone had, or know anyone who has had, the following side effects of taking pills for high blood pressure ........... dozy, forgetful, and sleeping a lot?

OH tried to phone my English sis-i-l, B, 3 times last week, only to find the answer machine on every time.

She will be 82 in March ........ and her daughter has just emailed me to say that B has these symptoms as a result of the hbp pills.

I take 3 kinds of hbp pills every day, and have never had such an effect.

It just doesn't seem right to me.
